Every year the same question comes back: is Amazon Cyber Monday worth it? This year it falls on Monday 30 November 2026. Here is how to find your way through the offers, which categories to watch, and how to compare the same product across Amazon's European stores without getting caught out.
The dates to know
Black Friday is on Friday 27 November 2026, and Cyber Monday is on Monday 30 November. On Amazon, offers rarely stay within a single day. They often start earlier, run across the whole week, and some come back at the end of it. It makes more sense to watch the full period than just the Monday.
Black Friday or Cyber Monday: what is the difference?
Black Friday started in the United States, on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Cyber Monday originally referred to the following Monday, aimed at online shopping. In practice the two events blend together on Amazon, and the same products can stay on sale for several days. For the calendar and the categories involved, our Black Friday article and our dedicated Black Friday and Cyber Monday page give a summary.
Categories often on sale
Tech remains the most visible category, with earbuds, screens and accessories. Toys and Christmas advent calendars also join the race as the festive season approaches. 3D printing is one of the areas where offers are frequent, especially printers and consumables.
For example, this 3D printer lists in its title a speed of 600 mm/s, an AI camera, automatic bed levelling and a print volume of 220 x 220 x 250 mm:

For an advent calendar, plan ahead. These are mostly used in November and December, so a sale during Cyber Monday week can help you prepare for the holidays.

Consumables matter as much as the machine. A 2 kg PETG filament should be compared by its weight, its 1.75 mm diameter and its colour, not only by the price shown.
Comparing the same product across countries
If you usually shop on Amazon.fr, it is worth checking the same item on Amazon.de, Amazon.it and Amazon.es. With the same account, delivery to France or another EU country is often possible, but it is not offered for every item or by every seller.
Three things to check before you compare:
- the seller: Amazon or a third-party seller, and their reputation;
- shipping costs and delivery times, which vary by country;
- the warranty, which can differ by seller and by the product's country of origin.
For electrical appliances, also check the plug type and the voltage. An adapter may be needed, and this is not a small detail. The manual and the product sheet list the electrical specifications.
Checking the price history
Under the EU Omnibus directive, a discount shown as a promotion must be measured against the lowest price applied during the previous 30 days. The rule protects buyers: a reduction calculated from an inflated price a few days earlier has no real value. Check the history before you confirm your basket, and do not rely on the percentage shown alone.
Set a price alert in advance
The best way to avoid chasing deals is to choose your products early, then create a price alert on each listing. Prepare a list of three or four items, note your target price and compare it with the history when the time comes. You avoid impulse purchases and save time during the offer week.
Cyber Monday 2026 is a good moment to test this method: a short list, simple checks and a decision made calmly.
